Procedures would include and not limited to: splinting, sutures/ simple lacerations; read and interpret x-rays; must be willing to see high acuity patients if needed; physician always available

Job Description
Job Summary:
Provides direct diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services under the supervision of a physician.
Responsibilities:
Obtains patient history and performs assessment. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic procedures.
Provides and documents direct treatment and management of health conditions.
Provides counseling and education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.

Hours:
Summer hours: 12 ? 12 hour shifts per month / typically 11 a.m. ? 11 p.m.
Off-season hours: 14 ? 10 hour shifts per month / typically 12 p.m. ? 10 p.m.
Summer census peaks due to the tourist season in Northern Wisconsin
15 bed Emergency Department
Trauma Level III
Average # of patients per day: 35 (highly variable depending on season)
Percentage of pediatrics: 10-15%
Average length of ER stay: 2.4 hours
Ground and flight transport on site (Spirit Ministry Medical Transportation Services)
Work with a very collegial group with strong team atmosphere
EMR System: Medhost transitioning to Cerner in October 2018
Qualifications
Education:
Master's Degree and completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program required
Work Experience:
Previous experience is preferred with at least one year of experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
