Job Description
Job Summary:
Facilitates the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.
Prepares surgical operating suite with sterile drapes and sterile solutions as well as appropriate sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies.
Hands required/requested instruments and supplies to surgeon during surgery.
Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients.
Maintains instruments in an organized manner and monitors/tracks instruments counts throughout procedures.
May participate in the training of new associates.
Required Credential(s):
Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Associates working at St Elizabeth's in Wabasha, MN are not required to have BLS.
Preferred Credential(s):
Certified Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
Completion of a Surgical Technologist program required.
Work Experience:
One (1) year of related experience preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
