What You Will Do

As an Associate with Ascension, you will have the opportunity to develop and coordinats wound/ostomy/continence program operations, inpatient care and patient discharge needs.

You will:

  • Provides wound assessments and continuity of care for wound patients in collaboration with referring and/or attending physicians and hospital staff.
  • Works with the primary care physician to plan, implement, and coordinate the patient's discharge needs for comprehensive skin and wound care.
  • Coordinates resources with primary care physician and other healthcare team members to ensure quality services and outcomes.
  • Reviews cases for quality improvement; formulates, implements, and evaluates plans for improvement in coordination with primary care physician and other nursing personnel.
  • Coordinates the ongoing education of staff as appropriate.
  • Functions as a subject matter expert in a clinical specialty. Serves as a resource, role model and educator.

What You Will Need

Licenses/Certifications/Registration:

  • Required Credential(s):
    • Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing or current home state license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State" obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Preferred Credential(s):
    • Certified Registered Nurse specializing in Wound, Ostomy, Continence credentialed from the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB).

Education:

  • Diploma
    • Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing required
    • Bachelor s Degree in Nursing preferred

Work Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years of clinical experience in the field of the primary work required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
